The content of the UEB Literacy training program has been adapted (with approval) from the “Unified English Braille Training Manual” (January 2022), edited by J. Howse, K. Riessen, and L. Holloway and published by the Round Table on Information Access for People with Print Disabilities.

The content of the UEB Introductory, Advanced and Extension Mathematics training programs has been purpose-written by J. Howse (2019, 2020) on behalf of NextSense.

The content of the Literary and Mathematics competency examinations has been purpose-written by J. Howse (2023) on behalf of NextSense.

The Foundations of Braille Literacy training program has been prepared by Dr Frances Gentle of the NextSense Institute. The video-recorded presentations include content drawn from NextSense professional learning workshops delivered by Dr Cay Holbrook and Dr Fabian Winter of University of British Columbia; and Ms Christine Casey and Ms Alison Jones of Department of Education Queensland Australia.
