Braille Formatting Guidelines

The Australian standards for braille formatting, along with recommended guidelines for best practice, are outlined and illustrated in the ABA Rules and Guidelines for Formatting Braille (2016). The details of this are available from the Australian Braille Authority site at the link Braille formatting in Australia.

Note: Many countries set their own braille formatting guidelines, including where page numbers and headings are positioned on each braille page. You may wish to check if your national braille authority has issued is own formatting guidelines.
